Is everyone set up for Christmas?I know I'1000 not!

Where did the last month go, and why are at that place still so many things to do?

We did at least manage to get a tree this year. Yay!

I know that may sound kinda impaired to well-nigh of you, only this is our very first tree. Like always.

In the 3 years we dated and the four years nosotros've been married, Emmet and I have never had a tree.

And for those of you running the numbers, Aye. Aurelia has never had a Christmas tree either.

(gosh, why does that make me sound like a bad parent?)

I know Emmet thinks I'm kind of a scrooge.(He'southward nevertheless shocked that I've never seen nigh of the vacation classics like Charlie Brown, It'due south a Wonderful Life, or fifty-fifty A Christmas Story) I'm not exactly sure when I started to be such a grinch, just we've never actually spent the holidays in our own home and then I didn't experience much need to have a tree. Especially one that our cats would merely try to eat and knock over while we are gone. And then final yr we fabricated a bargain that we would finally stay dwelling house for Christmas, and get our first tree. (It was even one of my resolutions!)

Now Reli certainly seems to like it and tells anybody on the telephone that it's her tree, but I'm honestly not convinced. Possibly I oasis't been trying hard enough, only nosotros haven't bothered to turn the lights on more than than a scattering of times, and neither of us can seem to remember to water the darn thing! I'm start to recollect that all these years of flat living have stolen my Christmas spirit. Am I the only one who feels this manner, or is this year just non as Christmas-y as usual? What practice you call up? Maybe we just need some snow!
